THE CRAFT OF SOUL-MAKING
Conversion Course 2009
This conversion course is for qualified counsellors who want to shift their work to that of a soulfully engaged psychotherapist. This series covers a number of essential elements in the Re•Vision methodology and serves to both enhance professional practice and act as a bridge for those wanting to enter the psychotherapy training at the Post-Diploma level. It is designed to flexibly introduce experienced counsellors to thinking and practicing in a soulfully way.
Wounded Healer with Chris Robertson
These two, one-day workshops will examine how healing necessitates the probability of wounding. It explores how we can both be a container for, and be open to, suffering. Allowing our wounds to be the entrance of the soul brings a reciprocal healing into the relationship. The mutual acceptance of suffering facilitates a transformation from victim to wounded healer through facing deep fears, grief and longing. Topics will include: therapeutic holding and containment; layers of protection and defence; descent to the vale of soul-making; the wound as a gateway; the resonant field.
Saturday/Sunday 10am-5pm September 26/27 09 Module Fee: £180
Shadow, Complex and Archetype with Deirdre Johnson
In this series of seminars we will examine some key concepts in Jungian Depth Psychology: the idea of the personal Shadow, what it is, how it operates and the process of its integration; what is a complex? How it is constellated and how it operates within the psyche. Through an exploration of myth, ritual and fairy stories we will come to an appreciation of Jung’s idea of the collective unconscious, and ask: what is an archetype? How do archetypes function? How do archetypes relate to the idea of the complex? By engaging with these themes of Shadow, Complex, and Archetype we will be better placed to appreciate how they function in ourselves and in the lives of our clients.
