individual counselling and psychotherapy
referral service
Whatever your difficulties, whether a mid-life crisis or suffering from trauma, our highly skilled counsellors are able to offer guidance and support.
Some problems can be traced to a history of childhood difficulties; others occur through the challenge of life transition such as children leaving home, career move or unexpected changes in outer circumstances. At such times, it is natural to have questions about who you are and how to deal with the changes. People seek therapy for a wide variety of reasons including...
- depression
- bereavement
- relationship difficulties
- abuse
- eating disorders
- loss of direction in life
- addictions
- blocks to creativity
- concerns about the planet
Sharing your situation with a skilled listener can lead to a deeper experience and understanding of your inner life. Together with a counsellor, you can explore the issues underlying your difficulties. Through this mutual process, fresh insights emerge and a wider range of choices become available to you.
What do I do?
When you ring Re·Vision, ask for the Referal Service. The counselling service coordinator will need to know a little about your difficulties for the purposes of making a suitable referral. You will be matched with a qualified counsellor or psychotherapist. This will be based on the nature of your difficulty and simple criteria such as where you live, your age and the gender of the counsellor, if relevant. A counsellor or psychotherapist will then contact you to arrange a first appointment. All information you offer will be treated confidentially.
The therapist, whether counsellor or psychotherapist, will adopt a flexible approach to suit your particular circumstances, rather than your having to fit into a particular style. This ensures that you will be treated as a individual with specific needs.
The referral service provides counselling and psychotherapy for the general public both in London and the surrounding area.
What does it cost?
- Individual session: £40 - £45+
- Couple session: £50 - £65
- Concessionary rates will usually apply to a recently qualified graduate or student counsellor whose work is closely supervised.
How long does it take?
Sessions are usually for one hour, once a week. You may find a short series of sessions sufficient for your needs, although many people find a longer term commitment more fruitful. You and your counsellor will normally review how you are doing at regular intervals.
