Who am I in my relationships?
From the moment we enter the world we are all involved in a wide range of relationships - parents, family, friends, work and partners. Our childhood experiences and our growth as adults fundamentally shape the ways we bond with and relate to one another and are vitally important to our quality of life.
These two linked workshops are designed to help you understand the impact of your past relationships on where you are now We will support you to find the value in your relationships today and to identify what you would like to be different and how this can be possible.
Potential benefits from these workshops are:
- releasing emotional habits from childhood which are no longer needed
- increased confidence to explore new relationships (and to value present ones)
- clarifying what you want to change and how to go about that
In exploring these themes we will work in the whole group, smaller groups and on our own. Come willing to explore in a warm and creative environment.
Deborah Berger - I am a counsellor, trainer and group facilitator working in private practice and the voluntary sector. I am particularly interested in the complex issues of culture, heritage, difference and oppression and in this I am guided by both my own history and my learning over many years of working with diversity. I believe how we fit into society, or feel excluded, is as much part of who we are as how we fit into our families or other relationships.
